The place of many firsts. From day one, I knew this was going to be a great experience when Karen took me to see the young forest in the ATV. This was my first experience as a WWOOFer, and I would go back in a heartbeat. Well, actually, I would go back with full awareness ;). During this month and a half, I learned about planting, caring for crops, understanding organic farming processes, and the vital importance of how we treat the earth. Karen is an expert who shares her knowledge in a genuine and easy-to-understand way. The whole family makes you feel right at home during every shared dinner and through every kind gesture throughout the stay. The days fly by. We start at 9:00 AM with the animals, making sure they have plenty of food and water. After that, there is always a task to do, and they are all very diverse. Around 1:00 PM, we take a break for lunch, and in the afternoon you can explore the area, rest... The accommodation Karen provides is wonderful; it brings so much peace and allows you to relax and have your own space. The food she provides is fabulous and completely organic. These have been an amazing few weeks that I already miss. But I know we will see each other again :) Thank you for everything!

My time with Juelie was nothing short of meant to be. Her space is beautiful and so peaceful but what I enjoyed the most was Juelie. She was able to teach me so many things about her farm and also about life, energy, you name it. I would go back in a heart beat. The work done in her space is absolutely different everyday. I was able to propagate rose bushes, pick strawberries, weed, learn about composting, pot plants, help make marmalade, and also help build out her shop. It was great time building able to disconnect, reflect and also get my hands into nature to reconnect with what matters. I’m so grateful for the time spent. Juelie- you know how much the trip meant to me!! I miss you and Elisa all the time. I hope you have an abundant summer and I know I will see you again!❤️❤️

My time in Himmerlands Efterskole was amazing! I felt very welcome from the first moment. Maria was managing the garden with competence, humor, and a lot of energy. The house for the wwoofers instantly felt like a home because I met wonderful people there. And we were welcomed to decorate the house a little bit as well. I enjoyed a beautiful and mostly sunny month in Syd Vest garden. I was able to contribute with my personal strengths and was invited to get involved in decisions/discussions in the garden team. Thanks to Maria everybody felt safe to speak their minds. She looked after everyone’s wellbeing while sharing her deep knowledge and experience with growing food. I was also invited to join Dennis and the kitchen team for a day and had a lot of fun baking sourdough bread, cinnamon rolls, and cake. The food of the canteen was always amazing! All of the staff were friendly and helpful when I approached them. The contact with the students was positive. Some were very open to give a tour of the school or just have a chat now and then. And of course we shared fulfilling garden experiences with the students who helped out at Syd Vest regularly. I recommend working here to everyone who's looking for likeminded people, having deep coffee/tea conversations, sweating in the greenhouse and finding something to smile about every day (:

I had a wonderful time here, I was originally going to stay for a couple of weeks and ended up staying for a month and a half. They were vary patient and accommodating with my constant plan changes. The work is varied enough to not get too repetitive and you can always take your time with the harder tasks. The rooms are very nice, clean and confortable, as well as the main house. Everything is very well taken care of.

My month in the garden at Himmerlands Boarding School was incredible. Maria is a very kind and welcoming person. She made me feel at home from the day I arrived. The days started early, but thanks to the great atmosphere with Maria and the other WWOOFers, work was always enjoyable. We took care of the garden and animals, planted and harvested vegetables, and contributed to the school's daily life. Although not all the ingredients came from the garden, the food was delicious, and I enjoyed every meal. The house where we stayed was very warm, and we even helped decorate it, which was a lot of fun. I hope to come back someday. Thank you for everything!

I spent three weeks here and it was an incredible first experience. Anne-Marie and Verner are lovely hosts, always kind and ready to help. We only worked mornings, with a variety of tasks. The setting is beautiful, with a large lake nearby, and it's easy to get to Copenhagen by bus in your free time. The meals are very good and the food is excellent. Despite my limited English, Anne-Marie and Verner were always patient with me, helping me improve and making me feel comfortable.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this WWOOF farm and can highly recommend it to anyone considering a stay here. From the very beginning, the whole team was incredibly open, warm, and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable right away. Elisabeth and Otto were especially kind and made it very easy for me to settle in and feel at home. During my stay, I learned so many different things and gained valuable hands-on experience every day. The work was diverse, interesting, and rewarding, and I always felt appreciated as part of the team. What makes this place truly special is the atmosphere. It is a place where you quickly feel like you belong, where meaningful friendships can be made, and where you create memories that stay with you long after you leave. This is definitely a place I would love to return to again. Thank you for such a beautiful experience!
