Call out for Nov/Dec. We are planting 10000 trees and putting our Alleycropping system from design into the real world. So if you are not afraid of using a spade and a wheelbarrow. Join us and be part of creating our new fruittree nursery. 1. Describe your project, your place, and its inhabitants (including animals): Our small scale farm is situated just 8 km south of Århus centrum. Surrounded by beautiful forest and 4 km from the beach. We yearn to create a living lab for regnerative lifepractice. We want to create several individual small enterprises working together on the same area. We are in our first year of production and want to create a agroforestry system with alley cropping. We are working on converting grasland to productive living soil. Our basic activities for this year is a no-dig market garden producing vegatables and a plant nursery for fruit- and nuttrees specialised in old varieties. We want to involve the local communities depending on the workload at hand. A helping hand from you could help create more social activities for music events, retreat and social workweekend. 2. List the activities that WWOOFers will participate in and what you want to teach them: During summer it will mainly be within vegetable production. In autumn it will shift to work in the plant nursery for fruit and nut trees. 3. How will you feed and house WWOOFers? Please describe your accommodations and plan for meals: There are three small rooms sharing one bathroom/toilet. Kitchen and Living room is shared area during daytime and in the evening. Breakfast and basic lunch is available in the kitchen. Dinner is prepared together and enjoyed together during the week when time allows it. Dinner is mainly vegetarian, 4. What could a WWOOFer's day look like at your site (time slot for participation in activities, expectations...)? Working hours, specially in summertime will be early morning before temperatures rise too much for harvesting vegetables. Before work we practice yoga and meditation. The field is 100 m away. Small breaks will are normally taken in the field. 5. Play the guide! Talk about your own hobbies (music, cooking, etc.) and those possible around (hiking, swimming, etc.): The surroundings invite for walking, running and biking in the nearby forest "Hørret Skov" and Moesgaard Strand. Århus is within reach by bike or bus (every 10 min during the day) with a variety of cultural offerings. I am a passionate Tango danser, Yoga practioner and Judo teacher for kids.

I spent 6 weeks at Happy Food Forest, Its was a great experience. Boris is a real passionate, I learned a lot by his side about the ecosystems, the vegetables and the apple trees. During those 6 weeks, I did a lot of various missions : feed the animals, plant the strawberries, remove the leaves or plant many trees. The environment is very pleasant and Boris gives us a lot of autonomy in the afternoons and at weekends. We passed many very good moment to prepare the food and share the meal together (my favourite part). Arhus is only a few kilometres away, where you can visit many beautiful places and a few museums. Close to the house, there is a large forest, a beach and a museum, lots of nice places to discover Denmark. Happy Food Forest is a real haven of peace. Thank you again for your generosity and kindness. I'd recommend everyone to go to Happy Food Forest!

I really enjoyed my stay and the work at Boris place . I was working in the food forest , did some weeding, took care of the basil and we built a trailer together. In the free time I was with other woofers or Boris took me out to Aarhus for Judo or to the beach which was fun. Boris is very passionate about his work and have a lot of knowledge about soil and eco systems. Work times are really fair and the accommodation with an own nice room was great. I can highly recommend WWOOFing there. All the best and thank you Boris 🙂.

I was lucky on a short notice to get to stay one week at Boris place. I enjoyed very much the work. I was working in the food forrest with young apple trees, in the greenhouse with tomato plants and I also did some weeding and harvesting of vegetables. In the free time there are awesome opportunities for hiking in the woods and through beautiful landscapes. The water and beach is about 3 km away. There is easy access to busses that goes to the larger city Aarhus which has a lot of cultural offerings and cosy cafes. Boris is very passionate about his work and have a lot of knowledge about soil and eco systems. I found the conversations we had very interesting. In the morning we did a short meditation before breakfast which was a great way to start the day. All the best and thank you 🙂.
