Hello and welcome.
My name is Bjørn. I live with my wife on our organic farm in Denmark, where we have been living and farming for around 30 years.
We have three adult children and four grandchildren, who often come to visit or help out on the farm. Family, farming, good food, animals, and the rhythm of nature are an important part of our everyday life.
Our farm covers about 13 acres of land. We grow many different kinds of organic vegetables, both in the fields and in our large greenhouse, where we produce tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and other crops. We sell our vegetables directly to private customers who come to the farm, as well as to local restaurants in our area.
We also have free-range cows and pigs. The cows graze our land and are raised for meat, while the pigs help us prepare and clean the fields between vegetable crops. Animal welfare is very important to us, and we try to give our animals a good and natural life.
On the farm we also have several dogs, both as family pets and for hunting. Dogs, hunting, and working with animals are some of my personal interests. My wife enjoys music, flowers, and, like me, life on the farm.
A restaurant in Aalborg rents a part of our land, where they grow their own vegetables with the help of their own farmer, named Morten. In addition, we have a large a130 m² cabin where we host both public and private events, such as music events and weddings.
As a WWOOFer with us, you can learn about organic vegetable growing, greenhouse work, caring for animals, fencing, grazing, feeding pigs and cows, and how a small organic farm can sell and produce directly to customers and restaurants. We are happy to share our experience and teach you about practical farm life.
You can stay either in a camping caravan or in a room inside our house. We provide two meals a day, at around 12:00 and 18:30, and in between you are welcome to find food in the kitchen.
