Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF) links visitors with organic farmers, promotes an educational and cultural exchange and builds a global community conscious of ecological farming practices.

WWOOF was founded in 1971 and is one of the world’s first educational and cultural exchange programs. Today, WWOOF is in more than 132 countries around the world (and growing).

WWOOF Denmark is the national organization helping to create local WWOOFing opportunities in Denmark and to promote sustainable farming as a lifestyle.

Visitors, or 'WWOOFers', share in daily life with their host and learn about organic agriculture, while spending about half of each day helping out on a farm.

My time at Ingemarsgaard was truly picturesque and perfect for for first-time and experienced wwoofers alike! Troels (unfortunately, Maria wasn’t around during my stay) was incredibly kind, a great cook, and always understanding and gentle in his instruction. Our schedule typically looked like ~3 hours of work in the morning, 2 hours of a break for lunch, and another couple hours in the afternoon, with the vast majority of jobs being peaceful garden tasks and general farm upkeep. I would (and have!) absolutely recommend this farm to anyone passing through Bornholm!

Wir haben uns hier sehr willkommen gefühlt und konnten unsere eigenen Stärken gut einbringen. Das Miteinander war offen und sehr freundlich. Untergebracht waren wir in einem kleinen Camper mit gemütlichem Bett. Die Infrastruktur im Haus durften wir, besonders da es draußen noch kalt war, mitbenutzen. Den Tagesablauf und die Aufgaben haben wir täglich neu besprochen und konnten diese an unsere Wünsche anpassen. Daher hatten wir auch genügend Zeit, um nahe gelegene Städte und den Stand zu erkunden. Lieben Dank euch.

Die Zeit bei Mireille und Lars war traumhaft schön. Wir haben sehr viel über die Permakultur und das Leben auf dem Land lernen können. Wir sind sehr dankbar, dass die beiden uns so liebevoll aufgenommen haben. Die gemeinsamen Kochabende haben für eine familiäre Stimmung gesorgt. Die beiden sind sehr offen und entgegenkommend. Auf dem Campingplatz kann man sehr gut entspannen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder zurück kommen. Merle und Kathi

I had a great time at this farm. The accommodations were comfortable and there were plenty of animals around to keep you company. The lunches are delicious and you'll enjoy your time on this very social and busy farm. Was suitable for someone that is a beginner.

My stay with Henrik & Mette was truly the dream WWOOF experience. They were always so kind, patient, and excited to share their life with me and my co-wwoofer and despite being a solo female traveler in an unfamiliar country, I always felt totally safe, comfortable, and like part of the family! The farm was super cosy and there were plenty of both animal & garden chores to go around, but often we had the entire afternoon off to rest, go on bike rides, etc. Nearly all of our meals were together, which was such a treat and they were all absolutely delicious. If I’m ever back in Denmark, Langebjerggård will undoubtably be my first stop!

Dear Nina, Michael and kids, From January 4th I worked at Tyskegård for 5 weeks. Thank you for your trust because I'm not the youngest wwoofer ;-) ! From the moment I arrived I felt very welcome. Together we dug the foundation of the greenhouse, slaughtered roosters and renovated with the help of Adam, the carpenter, a part of the living area of the farm and prepared it for ecological insulation. We worked together with a big smile, fitting within my comfort zone and with a lot of respect for each other's knowledge and skills. The communal meals were inspiring, cozy and.........delicious! Respect for your project. A project where many 'issues of live' come together: living / learning in the rhythm of nature. Tak for den smukke tid på Tyskegård!

Our two weeks here went by so fast! We can only recommend this great farm : In addition to Stinne and Kim being very nice, there is a lot of different things to do : forestry, animal care (cute goats !) taking care of the fruit trees, seeding, planting, building, taking care of the food and the café.. You will not be bored! What made the experience special was the community built there ; the wwoofers all live in a separate house and we were 6 people. It created a very precious team that we will cherish for a long time! The house is very cosy and equiped. Food wise, Stinne is a very good cook and the lunch is always great. We eat and prepare dinner in the house which is a really nice time and we get to discover every country's dish ! We usually work from 9 to 12 and 13 to 14h30. Sunday or Monday is off. Anyway, thank you Kim, Stinne and all the team for the great time! We hope to come back some day !

I had an amazing experience Wwoofing here! The people were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made me feel right at home from the very first day. The island itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning nature and peaceful surroundings. I learned a lot, enjoyed every moment, and truly felt part of the community. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and inspiring Wwoofing experience!

I had an amazing experience at Stengården. The tasks were very varied despite the snow, but I loved discovering everything there is to do and learning so much about agriculture ! The worker and the family were lovely and very attentive, they helped me improve my English and I got to meet some incredible people ! It was a real pleasure to work alongside them. I would highly recommend working here !
