WWOOF in Denmark

WWOOF Denmark is the national organization helping to create local WWOOFing opportunities in Denmark and to promote sustainable farming as a lifestyle.

Visitors, or 'WWOOFers', share in daily life with their host and learn about organic agriculture, while spending about half of each day helping out on a farm.

Visit to Holistia, to Anders and Vivian was my first WWOOFing experience and i could not have dreamed better one. Staying in Holistia makes you holy. Structure of work, diet, farming was what I needed so much. If you are looking for learning farming it is a place to go. Anders has so much experience and knowledge it was pleasure and honor to work with him. I spend month of April and we did all kind of works in greenhouse, outside, harvesting, planting, replanting and many more fun. Thank you Anders and Vivian for hosting and hope to be able to come back one day. Much love and best regards

A truly peaceful and relaxing place. The surroundings are beautiful, the cabin is cozy, the people are warm and welcoming, and there are adorable goats and great food. Lars is very flexible and patient, and you get the chance to try many different activities. I was lucky enough to witness newborn baby goats arriving and even help build them a new shelter. We usually worked in the mornings, leaving the afternoons free to explore all of Fyn by electric bike. I can wholeheartedly recommend this farm and this family.

I had such a wonderful time with Stine and Kim. I learned so many different things during the month and really enjoyed my time there. The island is incredibly beautiful, and you can reach the sea in just 5 minutes. Thank you so much for the great conversations and the fun moments. I will gladly look back on this time.

I had an excellent first WWOOFing experience at Syltamae Campground, where I stayed for a few days over Easter weekend. Lars and his family were welcoming and easy to get along with and connect on a human level from the start. The farm is set in a calm and beautiful location, between the sea and the forest. Each WWOOFer had their own small cabin, which was nice to have both community time and privacy. Even as a beginner, I was able to learn a range of practical skills, from planting potatoes and chopping wood to helping with animal care, all under Lars’s trusting and pedagogical eye. Overall, this was an amazing experience. I genuinely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming place to start WWOOFing, and I would gladly return !

Bonne continuation !

We spent two amazing weeks at Kirstine and Jan's farm, it was really nice. From every point of view, we spent good days. About the work, we mainly worked with Jan, he leads us very well and helps us. He has never been angry or anything; if you do something wrong, he helps you to do it better and shows you how to be perfect. And he is always telling you good stories or jokes while working, which is a really fun way to work and take pleasure in doing it. The work is also really varied; you can do some work for the animals or plant some strawberries or even more things. This is really great. About the food, everything was really good, Kirstine always makes good dishes for you that come from the farm, which is pretty cool also. You can have really nice conversations with them while eating, which is also nice. here a little addition from everyone : Nolann : I really appreciate spending those two weeks with Jan, Kirstine, and the family. I really enjoyed it and hope to see them as often as possible :) Guillaume : I spent two amazing weeks with amazing people in an amazing farm. Always a good hand to help you and give the best advice !

Staying at Holistia was exactly the kind of experience we were hoping WWOOFing would bring us. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed — not just as helpers, but as people. The work was varied and satisfying — and we always felt guided with kindness and compassion. There’s a real rhythm to the place that you settle into naturally within the first day. What stood out most was the atmosphere. Holistia has a warmth to it that’s hard to describe but easy to feel. My son thrived here — he was engaged, hands-on, and left with a genuine sense of having contributed something real. As a father, that meant everything. Anders and his wife were very caring, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and kind. Conversations over shared meals were as nourishing and fun as the food itself. If you’re looking for a farm that takes the holistic part seriously — where the land, the people, and the work are all cared for with intention — this is the place. We’d return without hesitation.

Lovely staying at the orchard with Roel & Wiebke and their children. A glimspe of what we did : Weeding in the strawberry's beds, collecting wood for the Benjes's hedges, preparing the new chicklets's house and of course, driving the quad. Under the eyes of the goats, ducks, dogs and cats ! I had a really good time ! Thank you !! Tak !

The stay with Kim and Stinne was our first WWOOF experience, and we are amazed! We were only on the farm for 10 days, and we enjoyed it so much that we would have loved to stay for several months. We had the time of our lives and will never forget the beer tastings, the game night (where Stinne beat us at Settlers of Catan), the breathtaking nature, and of course Emma. Kim and Stinne are funny, educated, and truly admirable hosts. The tasks we did varied: weeding, working in the café, seeding, building a greenhouse and more. We already miss Stinne’s cooking skills and Kim’s jokes. We will definitely come back again!
