Femø is one of the most lovely places I visited, even though it was “off” season. After work every day I walked around the island even if it was raining— it was just so beautiful and calming. I came during the harvest so the work consisted of bringing in the plants from the field and trimming them, which was quite relaxed as well. The days went by quickly too as there was always company around, whether it was other wwoofers or Christina’s friends and neighbors. I really enjoyed talking to everyone while we worked. The outdoor campsite could get pretty cold and rainy this late in the year, so cooking and eating outside was a bit of a struggle, but very pleasant when we had sun. The stars were also a highlight of Femø - I don’t know if I’ve ever seen so many. I would highly recommend this place which I found to be a good mix of community and solo time. Christina was a caring and funny host. I hope to return in the summer one day. Tak!

I have spent two weeks at Annette & Martin's farm in October, and it was an inspiring and varied time. I really enjoyed their hospitality and company. Annette and Martin are such nice people, always willing to answer your questions or help you with anything. Annette even picked me up at 7 a.m. at the bus station in Odense. The work was definitely doable, and I had enough free time to explore the area. The silence here was overwhelming. There are mainly fields in the area, but there isn't much real nature and there aren't many hiking trails, so if you want to go for (long) walks, you sometimes have to walk along the side of the road. During my work, I picked cherry tomatoes and peppers, emptied greenhouses, and painted wooden beams on the farm wall. On weekends, I had time to go to Odense (Denmark's third-largest city) or take a long walk. And last but not least, the food was absolutely delicious and highly recommended.

I had an amazing time during the summer at the farm of Martin and Sarah, who are wonderful people. All the people i met were so nice and welcoming, the farmers like the wwoofers, and i felt like home ! Taking care of the animals and the farm was a real pleasure, and it was true that "the only thing that doesn’t change is that everything changes all the time". 😊 I highly recommend this farm!

I had the most amazing time at Lars and Mireille's beautiful place. The whole family and the people working/staying at the organic campsite are so welcoming, kind and fun to talk to. Lars is a great teacher; most of the time, we (another wwoofer and me) worked with him, planting strawberries, picking apples, weeding, woodworking and cleaning. He is open to explain and teach you a lot and flexible with your interests. In the afternoons, we could explore the surroundings by bike with some great tips from Mireille and Lars! The area is also perfect for some good runs, a swim or some supping/kayaking on the water. It really was a great experience and I would love to come back for a longer stay in the upcoming years. Thank you Lars and Mireille for this great experience, your open arms and exchanging stories!

Highly recommended! Great work to do, beautiful and very inspiring location. Both Signe and Mads are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the work that they do, so you get the opportunity to learn a lot (if you choose to) and to have generally great conversations. Very well-connected to get into Copenhagen or surrounding area for your days off, very fair and flexible working environment. Oh, and I haven't eaten so well in a long time ;) Just go and stay! To Signe and Mads: thanks so much for a wonderful time and I look forward to being back in future.

I had a wonderful experience here. The variety of tasks kept every day interesting, and I learned so many new skills. Sharing meals and coffee breaks with the team was such a lovely ritual, and the food—much of it from the farm—was just amazing. The accommodation was super cozy, and everyone on the farm was really friendly & welcoming from day one. I spent 3 three weeks here and I loved every moment. Thank you Otto & Elisabeth for giving me the opportunity to stay here. I feel very grateful for my time here and would highly recommend this place to anyone<3

I had a wonderful week at Dambækgaard farm, and I already wish I could have stayed longer. The work was varied : from harvesting and taking care of the animals, to picking apples, making apple juice, and helping out in the garden. The family was incredibly warm and welcoming. Meals were delicious and shared with them, which gave me a great opportunity to learn more about Danish culture. I also got to pick up a few cooking tips from Kirstine along the way ;) I highly recommend this little slice of paradise, full of good vibes, nature, and animals.

Annette and Martin are the coolest hosts I've met. They were wonderful to be around, creating a warm sense of camaraderie between themselves and the volunteers. Both are excellent cooks, and every meal felt like a celebration of good company. During my stay, my main task was harvesting different varieties of tomatoes. We worked together as a team and then gathered around the table to share meals, which made the experience feel genuinely special. I even came back for an extra week because I enjoyed it so much! I highly recommend this farm, it strikes the perfect balance between meaningful work and collective joy.

Ending my volunteering journey in Denmark at Heather’s place felt just right. The setting is beautiful, with the comfort of a private bedroom that makes you feel more like a guest than a volunteer. Heather herself is wonderfully kind, thoughtful, and a fantastic cook. As it was the end of the season, the workload was light and flexible. I could choose my own tasks, such as cleaning the chicken coop, harvesting maize and beans, picking flowers to dry, or watering the greenhouse. Heather, thank you for your kindness and for making me feel completely at home.

I really enjoyed my stay at Oles farm! Everyone working there was very welcoming. The working hours were nicely distributed since we would take two breaks in between and I felt comfortable with the work load. I liked that we did many different things during the harvest season, like weeding, harvesting, packing the vegetables and fruits and so on. The housing was also very comfortable. We had our own bedroom and kitchen and shared the bathroom with two other workers which was no problem at all. A special thank you goes out to Karen, who made sure to welcome us warmly. She took us with her to yoga lessons she teaches and to the cliffs for sightseeing. The area was also nice since it wasn`t too far away from the beach (by bike) and had a train station nearby. In conclusion, I can recommend this farm to everyone who is looking for spending some time outside, doing physical work and a calm and peaceful environment.
