I had a great time there. The place is very calm and the walkings in the Forest near Kysøko were pretty nice. Susan and Anders are very pleasant people to talk with.
Working tasks were mainly about berries picking. However, it was possible to change the tasks depending on the weather and our desires.

I had a lovely time at Kysoko. Anders is a funny scarcastic grandpa (😜). Susanne is calm, patient and wise. I really liked the cosy atmosphere at home. The job was clear, doable with respected working time so it was relaxing for me to work there.
I had the great pleasure to help sell the products on some market in Copenhague.
The quality of the food and the apple product is high. At the farm you work with 2 employées who are very sympathic and explain the tasks very well. I thank them for that 🫶
I highly recommand this farm !! 💋

I stayed at the farm for a short time during the berry season. The location is quite beautiful – peaceful countryside with a lake and forest nearby, which is great for walks and quiet moments in nature.
As mentioned in the host description, the work can be repetitive and physically simple – in my case, it was exclusively berry picking, four hours a day, seven days a week. I think it’s important for future WWOOFers to know that the tasks are very focused on that one activity, without variety or other types of farm tasks during harvest season. For someone who enjoys meditative or routine work, this could be a good fit.
In terms of the social aspect, the interaction with the hosts was more formal and work-oriented than I had expected. While Susanne was always kind and welcoming, the overall atmosphere felt more like a working arrangement than a cultural exchange. Meals were prepared by WWOOFers or sometimes the hosts and shared together, but beyond those moments, there wasn’t much time spent together or opportunity for deeper connection. The food provided was sufficient, though in my personal opinion, it could have been a bit more nourishing or varied.
Ultimately, I decided to leave earlier than planned. While the stay may suit those looking for a quiet environment and a clear work structure, it wasn’t quite the right fit for me in terms of personal connection, variety in tasks, or the overall exchange experience I was hoping for.

I had a wonderful, lovely time with Susanne and Anders for my first wwoof! It couldn’t have gone better! I enjoyed picking many types of berries I had never tried- honey berries, white currants, and gooseberries and of course trying the many types of apple juice. Their lifestyle is very healthy and their home is very welcoming- I can definitely confirm what other folks have said, that you can tell they’ve hosted many people over the years and are comfortable sharing their life with others. I was lucky that there was a litter of young kittens during my stay who were really playful. I also took a bike over to the beach and the lake which were both really nice rides. Maybe I would recommend to practice a couple vegetarian recipes so you are confident in your cooking when you come (mine was passable at best 😅). I really enjoyed learning about Denmark and chatting over meals. I would love to come back to Copenhagen one day for the yearly jazz fest. Until then!

I spent two beautiful weeks at Kysøko. It's difficult to sum up such a wonderful experience --I greatly enjoyed Susanne and Anders' company, the 'slow' meditative rhythm of life on a farm, and the beautiful scenery of the Danish countryside in autumn. I learned a lot about organic farming and living, and feel changed by my time there.

I had a really wonderful experience at Kysøko and fully recommend it to anyone who is considering it. I spent around 10 days there picking berries and plums. Not only was the work itself really calming and pleasant, I enjoyed every second I got to spend with Susanne, Anders and the other WWOOFers. We had such interesting conversations during our meals and got to exchange so much about out cultures (while I was staying there, we had people from 6 different countries). I also learned a lot about farming, renewable energy and living a more sustainable life. I especially recommend Kysøko to anyone interested in sustainability, since Susanne and Anders are really passionate about the topic and have so much knowledge to share.
