We’re Kirstine 48, Jan 51, Astrid 18, Aksel 16 and Gustav 12. We have a small scale self-sufficient production of meat (goats (3), pigs (2-10), ducks and chickens (30), berries and vegetables. We strive to make a family run farm with sustainability, small scale production and partly self-sufficiency as our goal. Inspired by modern sustainability and the values of mother’s grandmother and her farm life. Both Jan and Kirstine are educated historians. Kirstine is a full time chef at the farm. Jan is a headmaster at a School. If you're interested in learning about Danish society, history, culture and family life we'll be happy to exchange our knowledge and to hear about your home country as well. We're running a place where everything is homemade, with no chemicals and where animals have the space they require to thrive. We've rebuilding an old stable into our guesthouse, and we now run a country side vente hosting parties and does catering. We have 3 rooms for rental, a big restaurant/conference room, and a professional kitchen. We're hoping we'll soon be able to produce enough vegetables to use more and more in the business. We're looking for wwoofers who are enthusiastic about helping in the gardens, help out with maintaining fences, building maintenance, feeding animals and whatever shows up during the year. We offer a free space, a possibility for you to be yourself with plenty of fresh air around you. We invite you to be part of our family dinners at night (and most other family activities) and to take part in farm life. If you can cook we expect you to prepare a weekly meal, preferably from your home country as we love to try food from various parts of the world. We have the opportunities and facilities to welcome people who share our sustainable visions, see the opportunities in our place, and take part in a Danish family life. We offer a very flexible schedule, especially since we will not always be able to take part in farm activities on week days, so if you want to work weekends and take week days of instead you’re more than welcome to do so. As long as your stay is rooted in motivation and the pleasure of being part of farm life. We offer two caravans (older but fully equipped) with view over the fields and a bathroom for woofers in the house and we hope you’ll join us in good meals and conversations at the family table. Wan't to learn more: www.dambaekgaard.net https://www.facebook.com/Dambaekgaard https://www.instagram.com/dambaekgaard/ Organic methods: We make our own compost from animal manure, greens and kitchen waiste. We grow partly in deeply digged beds. The Vegetable files are 600 m2. Our building and construction work is always sustainable, reusing old materials, choosing materials that have been produced suistanable. Certifications: It's too much paper work. But everything is grown and fed organic, but if we get certified organic we can't feed our animals scrabs from the kitchen, which isn't really sustainable. We prioritize sustainability over organic. I had a wonderful week at Dambækgaard farm, and I already wish I could have stayed longer. The work was varied : from harvesting and taking care of the animals, to picking apples, making apple juice, and helping out in the garden. The family was incredibly warm and welcoming. Meals were delicious and shared with them, which gave me a great opportunity to learn more about Danish culture. I also got to pick up a few cooking tips from Kirstine along the way ;) I highly recommend this little slice of paradise, full of good vibes, nature, and animals.

I spent three special weeks at Dambækgaard. The whole family was incredibly welcoming, and it was really lovely to spend time with them as part of the family. There is always something different to do in the farm, so you never get bored, and Jan and Kirstine always try to find something that matches your interests. I came back with a full heart and lots of new recipes :) Kirstine is an amazing cook!! I totally recommend WWOOFing with them! I had the best time and really hope to go back someday ♡

First WWOOFing experience, was nervous going into it but it was an amazing time. Was welcomed in as family, spend meals and down time together. Every day's tasks were different and generally pretty interesting! My time was spent cutting and installing glass into old iron window frames, tending to birds, making a door to shelter newly hatched ducklings, various gardening projects, and a handful of other things! Great food, great company, and a great experience overall. Highly recommend for first time wwoofers or anyone else really!

Due to insurmountable odds, my stay was unfortunately cut short. I wish all the residents of the farm, humans and animals alike, peace and harmony.

I had wounderful 9 days at Dambækgaard. Jan and Kristines Family is really lovely and we had the plesure to have family dinners together and join in on some game nights. Astrid also helped me developing my danish ;). We cooked amazing food with fruits and veggies wich we picked from the garden and I finally got to learn how to beak a real sourdough bread thanks to Kristine. The tasks were always manageable and the atmosphere at the whole place was just amazing! I would defenetly reccomend it and I would love to come back some time!

Wwoofing in Dambækgaard farm was a truly wonderful experience. I could learn about plants; animals; building; Danish culture; and share very good experiences and music. All the members of the farm were super friendly and kind! I would definitely recommend the farm for all the persons interested in wwoofing.
