Family home and garden
South Denmark
Hi there future WWoof'er!
Let me start with introducing myself, my name is Katrine and my husbands name is Morten. We have seven fur babies, a dog named Zanto, two cats named Gary and Luna, The Two miniature ponies are Bob and Spot.
I, Katrine have done Wwoof'ing on New Zealand, which I enjoyed very much, and is one of the reasons for me to become a host.
We're located on a beautiful farm on Fyn near Middelfart.
We have 3.3 acres and among that we are growing apple - plum - pear trees. We grow our own vegables during the summer time and grow various berries. We have just planted 2.2 acers of forest to help the climate, and because of that we’ll be needing help with different projects.
We have to expand our vegable garden and in spring we have a lot of preparations for this.
We have people comming during summer, who loves to come out and Pick fresh fruits and vegables. So if you are up for it, you Can show them around and help them.
We live close to Middelfart and Fredericia, and there is a lot of events throughout the year. This year there was free concerts every thursday at the beach where we brought to the beach and ate while we listend to Music. In Middelfart you are able to go bridgewalking, which is one of the only places in the World where you Can do it. It is super cool and almost every wwoof’er who have stayed here has done it and loved it.
Practical information:
You'll have your own room and have to work around 4 hours in weekdays. We do not eat meat very often, if you are a vegetarien, you'll love this place!(meat-lovers are welcome too!!). We do not Buy meat, so if you want Meat as a part of your diet, you’ll have to Buy it yourself. Furthermore if you want to eat fully vegan you’ll have to buy the ekstra stuff yourself. We do eat mostly vegan but if you want more vegan choices you’ll have to buy it.
During the weekends you are free to do whatever you want, and if you are interested in sightseeing, we'll love to show you around.
We are also very open for you to go travel around Denmark while you are here, and leave your stuff like if you want to see Copenhagen.
About you:
We are Looking for a mature wwoof’er who is not afraid to get their hands dirty. Morten and I have fulltime jobs and there Will be days where you would have to work alone, which is why we look for people who Can work Independently and take initiative in different tasks around the farm if we are not there. We have animals around and They are a part of the family, so you have to be comfortable with animals. You would have to be a person who is not afraid to help around the House too, because we all live together.
If you Can say check to everything above, we would love to hear from you!
Please, feel free to write to us if you have any questions! :)
We do require a videochat on WhatsApp before arriving just for you guys ti know about the place and you/we have any further questions.
Organic methods: We grow all of our plants without chimicals or pesticides.
Certifications: We are a family farm that do not sell our harvest but are self-sufficient
Current projects: We're always growing our vegetables so there'll aways be weeding. We do have some fruit trees that needs some pruning.
This spring we planted 2.2 acres of forrest, where we'll be needing help with weeding between the trees.
We have a lot of projects when it comes to the horses and the pasture.
We are woodchipping a lot and using the tips to cover flowerbeds and such.
We have a lot of garden projects as well, especially peeping for winter.

Kat & Morten are so welcoming people and nice hosts! They are always down for a chat, a gamenight, showing you around, helping you organize a trip or any other kind of fun. I really enjoyed my stay and wish the best for them and their beautiful little farm.

Morten and Kat are clearly seasoned WWOOFing hosts—chill, vibrant, and welcoming. We enjoyed contributing to their farm through various tasks and ending our days with delicious meals they cooked (including a Snobrøt bonfire and a traditional Danish birthday cake), lively conversations, and games together. As promised by a previous WWOOFer’s review, Kat indeed always wins. Morten and Kat cared just as much about our time off the farm as they did about our experience on it. Thanks to their generous rides and recommendations, we explored Middelfart, Odense, and Aarhus during our one-week stay. There happened to be three of us WWOOFing at the same time, which made the experience even more fun. The animals on their farm were a highlight. As a word of warning—don’t bring chocolate unless you bring a safe OR follow their instructions to carefully lock your door every time you leave the house. Zanto, their human-like dog, can and will find anything. Unfortunate mishaps aside, we had a fantastic week, and future WWOOFers are bound to have an excellent time with Morten and Kat.
Thank you so much for hosting us—wishing you all the best on your upcoming ventures!

I had a wonderful time with Kat and Morten! A wwoofing experience cannot be better! They are both very warm, open and extremely hospitable. They serve excellent food! Kat and Morten gave me tips on what to see in Denmark and took me to Middelfart, Fredericia and Odense. I was allowed to experience Danish everyday life, I met Morten's family and made acquaintance with lovely piglets, ponies, cats, cherries, weeds and more ;-) The work is not too hard. When you're off, you can be at the beach within half an hour by bike, which I enjoyed very much. Thank you so much for such a great time! I would definitely come again.

Being at Kat & Morten's farm was my first experience as a WOOFER and I couldn't have picked a better place. The farm itself is located a little bit away from the city, but still close enough to jump on a train to go to Middelfart for a coffee and enjoy the beautiful view across the bay. Kat and Morten always made sure that I felt comfortable with the farm tasks. I mostly fed the adorable animals in the morning / evening, did some weeding in the courtyard and vegetable beds, put away fire wood and harvested some delicious strawberries. I can recommend this place to anyone who likes working with animals and who enjoys a nice dinner and a good chat with Kat & Morten in the evenings. It is also a perfect place to travel to other places in Denmark like Aarhus or Copenhagen. Thank you Kat & Morten for making this stay unforgettable, it was really an amazing time and I already miss the Danish farm lifestyle!

I had the best time on this farm. Katrine and Morten are both warm-hearted, accommodating hosts wanting you to feel comfortable and welcome. They were flexible with the working hours, and the work itself was not too demanding and enjoyable (especially taking care of the adorable animals!). Even though I was there for only two weeks, I was able to explore a lot of the beautiful area not least because Kat and Morten showed me around on trips with them and gave me lifts. I can highly recommend this place and miss it already!

It was my first Wwoofing experience and my first time in Danmark and I really enjoyed it, I couldn't imagine a better place for that!
Katrine and Morten are very welcoming and warming person and their little farm is such a wonderful place to be. They want you to have a good time and tell or show you the best areas around Norre Aaby or deliver insight into danish traditions. It's more living together and sharing the daily life during your visit (for example playing games, watching a movie, making little road trips - if you want to), so you won't feel lonely there.
But be careful: there's a big chance to lose your heart to one of their animals (or to all of them ;-)), because they are cool as well! :-) Best would be to test it on your own!
