Agritourism Destination, Farm
Zealand
We have room for 1-2 woofers in 2026 from april thru september.
Projects and jobs for the year:
Easter and on for lambing season (2 weeks prefered)
Early april and on for vegetable garden
Finishing building the greenhouse (its been a multi year project)
Fencing and maintaining.
Building and reparing Rabbitcages
Harvesting hay
When we bought the farm in 2016 with 6 hectares our plan was just to be selfsustaining, but due to all sort of coincidences we started to become more and more farmers. The farm was organic when we bought it so for us it was natural to just keep going in that direction. We have been expanding over the years and will from 2026 have more than 180 hectares of primarily grassland and protected nature to take care of. We have a few guidelines that we try to stick to, when slaughtering and animal use as much as possible, which means hides, inerts, wool, bones etc. When growing in the vegetable garden we try to produce our own seeds, and when grazing we try to control it in the most beneficial way for biodiversity.
Henrik is full time, Mette works parttime as a teacher at a local independant school.
We love to have wwoofers around the farm, we try to have all meals together as we think thats the best way to get to learn people, and it usually is a good opportunity to discus the world, the past, the politics, the farming and our dreams.
Langebjerggård is a smaller organic farm that raises lamb, rabbits and chicken. We have older and slower growing breeds. We have about 180 hectares , of which 130 is protected nature where our sheep and lambs grase.
The rest is rabbit and chicken fields and forrest .
We do most of the butchering and processing of the meat on the farm.
The farm dates back to 1773, and we have been running it since 2016.
We are Henrik (55) and Mette (50) and our three dogs, 7 cats, +200 sheep, +150 rabbits and +400 chicken.

April 2026
This review took me a long time to write because I still don’t feel like words can fully capture how much this experience meant to me. I stayed with Mette and Henrik for five weeks, and I’m already planning my return in late May—which says everything.
From the moment I arrived, they met me with a level of kindness and patience that truly touched me. It was my first time ever working on a farm, and I learned so much—not just about Denmark or farming, but about myself. There was something incredibly healing about being in a place where love is so present and so genuine.
You can feel how deeply they care for their animals in everything they do, and it made me so grateful to be even a small part of that. The little moments are the ones I’ll carry with me forever—Henrik sharing his music with me, Mette teaching me how to knit, the quiet, beautiful rhythms of daily life on the farm.
This experience meant more to me than I can properly express. It felt like being welcomed into something truly special, and I will always hold it close to my heart. I’m beyond grateful, and I already can’t wait to come back.

March 2026
My stay with Henrik & Mette was truly the dream WWOOF experience. They were always so kind, patient, and excited to share their life with me and my co-wwoofer and despite being a solo female traveler in an unfamiliar country, I always felt totally safe, comfortable, and like part of the family! The farm was super cosy and there were plenty of both animal & garden chores to go around, but often we had the entire afternoon off to rest, go on bike rides, etc. Nearly all of our meals were together, which was such a treat and they were all absolutely delicious. If I’m ever back in Denmark, Langebjerggård will undoubtably be my first stop!

My stay was so good that I had to extend it 2 times 🫣... Mette is a walking miracle it was very inspiring to talk and learn about her life, also she is a great cook !! Henrick was very patient, helpful and willing to take some time to explain things which I highly appreciated. The work at the farm is well organised, the atmosphere at home always lovely : good combo !
I didn't feel any pressure or disappointment from them in any way and I thank them for that because they would have some reason to express that. ( I broke their door 2 times 🫣)The cherry on the cake (french expression, google it) was the amount of animals at the farm which made my day bright and happy 😊
Menge Tak ❣️

I had such a heartwarming stay here. From the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel welcome and at home. Every meal Mette prepared was absolutely delicious and I looked forward to dinner every day!
The animals are clearly loved and very well cared for, and they’re all so sweet and adorable. Because of the snow, the main tasks were feeding and giving water, which felt calm and peaceful.
It’s also easy to get here from Copenhagen, yet you’re surrounded by beautiful nature. The people, the fresh air, and the atmosphere make this place incredibly healing. I’m really grateful for my time here.

Henrik and Mette are wonderful hosts, I had a great time staying with them. The work was an opportunity to see and contribute in a very respectful and interconnected way to manage animals and land, and I learned a lot with all that knowledge that was shared with me.
