Communal Living Group / ECOVILLAGE
Zealand
We live in an ecovillage - Check out: www.hallingelille.dk. We are 52 adults + 25 children, living together.
We like to have visitors, making life in our commonhouse, in our sauna, in our swimming lake, at the yoga classes, at our football field etc. We have many daily chores and tasks, but primarily gardening, planting, weeding etc. It is important that you can work independently, with 2-3 other woofers/volunteers. In the common house there is Internet access available. + 3 guest rooms, projector, table-tennis, big kitchen etc. There is a woofer hut to live in. Please do come and live with us! Starting from March - September.
Certifications: We are not certified, but work organically.

On our roadtrip we felt so lucky to stumble upon the friendly people of Hallingelille. A beautiful village-in-a-village, down to earth and close too earth. Although there were nice comfortable rooms available for volunteers I liked to stay in their Wwoofer hut, very basic and close to nature. We decided this is the perfect and final location. We stayed for a week, which was too short with so many nice people and activities. From birthday party to concert and theater, common meals, yoga sessions, sauna and night swimming and a working day with all the villagers, this week there was a lot going on and we felt so welcome. We enjoyed helping in the garden and since we like to fix stuff we improved the sauna&lake experience, and more. Really a place I would like to come back or even be a part of. This visit opened my eyes for the possibility living in an eco village! Thank you, sweet people from Hallingelille

I stayed with Camilla for 10 days and had a great time! Located in such a beautiful place.
It was a busy week with many international guests so it happened to be a nice opportunity to hear about eco villages from other countries. Camilla also has a wide network of eco village people so very interesting to learn more beyond this one eco village.
For the best experience integrating with the community I would recommend staying for longer :)
