Biodynamic permacultural farm with silent retreats & digital detox
Zealand
Dear WWOOFers,
My name is Juelie (46), and I live with my son (16) in a beautiful natural setting in the hills of Southern Zealand. We strive to live as self-sufficiently as possible by growing our own fruits, vegetables and herbs.
I am a biodynamic horticulture specialist working with plant medicine and its spiritual aspects. I am also a passionate plant collector and have planted more than 300 different kinds of trees on the land, along with over 500 edible plants.
I love working with my hands and express myself as an artist using many different materials. I am constantly sowing, building, creating, and exploring new ideas—with joy and curiosity—even though the work can sometimes be physically demanding.
Alongside this, we host a small B&B where guests can enjoy nature, silence, and a true digital detox. I also work part-time as a nurse.
We share our home with several animals: the sweetest bullmastiff dog, three adult cats (who often have kittens), three goats, three sheep and four chickens.
There are always many projects going on here, and not two days are the same. Depending on the season, tasks may include harvesting fruits, vegetables and herbs, collecting seeds, preparing food for winter storage, chopping wood, weeding, planting or relocating trees, preparing soil, forest trimming, cutting grass, cleaning for the B&B, and maintaining or painting our buildings (we mainly build using upcycled, reused, and natural materials). You may also take part in new building projects and many other things.
Daily routines include feeding the animals and giving them plenty of love and attention. There are also many smaller ongoing projects. I will teach you everything you need to know. What matters most is a true willingness to learn, an openness to receiving guidance, and a desire to do things properly. I am quite detail-oriented and value care, presence, and quality in all the work we do.
Accommodation & Food
We offer two cozy forest cabins for WWOOFers, both built from natural materials. One cabin accommodates two people, and the other is for one person or a couple.
Depending on the season, we eat indoors or outdoors and occasionally cook over a campfire. All food is organic/biodynamic, homegrown, vegetarian, and plant-based.
We are not early risers and usually fast in the morning. You are welcome to prepare your own breakfast and lunch if that suits you better—we respect individual rhythms and needs, and we enjoy sharing a nourishing dinner together in the evening.
Free Time & Surroundings
WWOOFers are expected to participate in daily work during the weekdays, while weekends are generally free to rest, explore, or enjoy personal time.
In your free time, you are welcome to join our creative projects, help with cooking, or simply enjoy the surroundings. Spending time with our animals is also an important part of life here—they need care, presence and affection.
On some weekends, we visit flea markets or attend local events. The beach is only a 15-minute drive away, and Southern Zealand offers beautiful forests, hills and coastline.
What to Expect
It is very important that you are open-minded and willing to experience a different lifestyle. We live close to nature and in harmony with it, and we expect the same respect from our WWOOFers. This includes honoring the land as sacred—no pollution, littering or careless behavior.
Digital Detox Policy
To support a peaceful and natural environment, we do not allow wireless devices (including mobile phones) in outdoor areas. We do not provide WiFi anywhere on the property. You must be comfortable unplugging during your stay and only using your phone inside your cabin.
Diet
We serve a fully plant-based, vegetarian diet. If you normally eat meat, you need to be willing to follow a vegetarian diet during your stay. If you are concerned about protein intake, we recommend reading Plant Power Fitness or The China Study, which highlights the long-proven benefits of a plant-based lifestyle for both body and mind.
Sensitivities
We are very sensitive to synthetic fragrances. Please do not use perfumed or chemically scented products such as perfumes, deodorants, lotions, or detergents. We live a chemical-free life, and it is important that this is respected during your stay.
This lifestyle is not for everyone. It requires openness, humility and a willingness to learn and contribute with care and dedication.
If this resonates with you, we will be happy to welcome you.
.
Before your arrival, we will have a video call to make sure we are on the same wavelength and that there is good chemistry on both sides.
We look forward to welcoming open-hearted, curious, and grounded WWOOFers who wish to learn, contribute, and live close to nature 🌱🌌🌲🐐🕊️
Warm regards,
Juelie

Juelie was a gracious host and the land is beautiful. The wood huts offer solitude and quiet, and the guest house is wonderful for cooking and bathing in the winter. There was plenty of work to do, and i learned how to do new things such as build brick walls. Juelie’s cooking is also delicious.

We had a wonderful time at Juelie's farm. The work was sometimes tough but the good moments and her will of showing us around made up for it everytime ♡ We truly had the chance to learn about the danish culture, life on a country side as well as sustainable living. One thing that is good with Juelie is that when there is a problem, you speak about it openly and you solve it. Besides, Juelie is someone who always has a million projects going on so you're never going to be bored!

Thank you so much for your kind words. It means a lot to hear from you again. So much has happened since then, yet I remember the joyful days of august where you were here:
One of the absolute highlights was Alysa’s encounter with the outdoor shower. Warm water, blue sky, birds singing — Alysa was not happy about it at all. I’m pretty sure the outdoor shower became her personal survival challenge of the year. The expression on her face looked as if she had accidently signed up for a viking initiation ritual. And yet — brave soul that she is — she survived the experience. It still makes me smile every time I think about it, and I smile again every time I walk past the shower.
There were many good moments, of driving around exploring the south, the beaches, Møn. And of course, all the time we spend in the garden — so much weeding!
I loved the meals we shared. Højbelagt vegetarisk smørrebrød, remember? And your pie… your tip about how to keep it from sticking has stayed with me.
You are truly wonderful girls, and I wish you all the very best wherever life takes you next.

We loved the place Juelie has built over the years: a quiet, lush forest and garden full of variety. The cabin where we stayed is lovely and isolated, which adds to the feeling of being connected with nature. Juelie is incredibly knowledgeable about gardening, farm animals, and woodworking. The food is delicious, with almost everything coming straight from the garden. Juelie is cheerful, and it was a real pleasure to discover her world. We already miss the seven kittens 💛

At Den Kosmiske Bllomst I had a wonderful time.
Surrounded by nature I was allowed to help Julie with work on her land.
From gardening to feeding the animals to building.
Being taught new things everyday was a valuable gift.
I am so thankful that Julie took us in, she is a kind and experienced person.
If you want to be closer to nature and help where you can, I really recommend staying with Julie. She is such a nice host and seeing her work hard is inspiring and makes you want to improve yourself as well.
Thank you again for making my week so memorable and meaningful Julie!
P.S.: I tasted some of the best fruits and vegetables in my life on your farm. :)

It was a wonderful decision to have my first WWOOF experience with Juelie. She is a great personality, generous, warm, and incredibly kind. She taught me a lot, patiently answered my questions, and shared her knowledge about nature. Through her experience, she gave me many valuable insights. She also gave me good tasks through which I could learn new skills.
The small forest Juelie is creating is a special place of peace, good sleep and a beautiful way to connect with nature. The atmosphere on the farm was truly lovely, surrounded by trees and the sweet animals.
I would be more than happy to come back anytime.

Juelie's property is just a magic land : thriving vegetables, gorgeous fist berries of the year, and a wonderful forest, full of healthy young trees! It is a perfect place to connect with nature and energize yourself surrounded by the trees' peacefulness ;) Oh, I've almost forgotten to talk about the beautiful flowers : they were almost all in bloom during my stay and their vibrant colors and divine smell make the place even more enchanted !
The wooden huts are a perfect spot to watch the wildlife. And it is a very cosy place for the night too ! ✨️
There is so much biodiversity on this sacred land, that's for sure everyone will find something to learn ! And Juelie is always happy to share her rich knowledge, whether about plants, Biodynamy, building tips, forest caring, or cooking ideas and homemade cosmetics... Each task is done efficiently and in a happy mood, two major qualities that made my stay at Juelie's look like a dream!

Dear Zoé, thank you so much for your visit. What a gift it was to have you here. Your helpfulness and your positive, easygoing approach to life go hand in hand with the knowledge and wisdom you already carry, and it was a pleasure to share and work with you. I will remember our trip to the beach and the shared interest in finding and tasting wild herbs, as well as our seaweed footbath, as one of the special moments. I wish you an enjoyable further trip in the Danish country, and hope Taiwan will be nothing less than fantastic.
