Eggs are supplied by the neighbour as those guys are just that, guys! Also changing in numbers... The number of horses keeps changing, what does not is their need for love and care...

WE ARE FULLY BOOKED UNTIL THE END OF 2025, PLEASE DO NOT SEND REQUESTS FOR THIS TIMEFRAME, THANK YOU! Hello fellow WWOOFers, my name is Ina, I live on a remote farm in Southern Denmark with currently 3 horses, 2 dogs, 4 kittens and 5 roosters. Our "numbers" are constantly changing as we serve as a small hub for animals in need. Just recently 4 injured grey geese temporarily used the farm as their healing space before joining the big migration South. We currently have just under 6 hectar available through 4.4 of those are stiff walk away and mostly used for hay making. An expansion of the grazing area at the house and converting a useless double garage into additional barn space for guest horses is currently planned. The farm is off the mainroad on a small dirt track with one other homestead at the end of it (800m). There are bus connections a short walk away and the nearest train station (Visby) is 6 km away. Tonder, the nearest "city" is 10 km to the Southwest. We are surrounded by forests and nature reserves (one of them being Sølsted Mose in walking distance). The nearest access to the North Sea is 16 km away and in just 33 km you are on Rømø, a very beautiful Island in the Wadden Sea, which is a UNESCO World Heritage listed National Park off the coast of Jutland. Most farming activities evolve around the needs of the animals and vary according to who´s here and the season of course. Stable cleaning and horse welfare make up a chunk of the work. I am trained in several body work techniques which I am always happy to introduce people to as it is a great way to engage with the horses (&dogs and cats) and build trustful relationships with them. The occasional fence repair and fixing bips and bops around the barn make up another chunk of work and so does the seasonal growth of (currently predominantly) fruit and hopefully this next season the set up of high rise planters for our own vegetable production. We have a rather large garden with bautiful trees and colourful plants that make a gardener´s heart sing and I am always happy for a lending hand and additional pair of eyes for what might need pruning or trimming or grooming to keep the garden flurishing! The house has a lovely spacious kitchen in which meals can be rolled out to everyones desire. I am much like our horses, grazing through the day most of the time, but am happy to cook either at lunch or dinner and provide addition nutricious meals throughout the day. The regional shopping is a little meagre in terms of high quality organic produce but I am doing my very best to buy organic food whenever possible. I am living a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle. Should you wish to eat meat then please bring your own stash as I have no clue how to buy/prepare but am happy to accommdate your needs. The nearest small super market is 7 km away and while just a quick trip down the road I´d be travelling with a secret stash of your favourite sweets or else, just in case = ). The upstairs area is made up of a lounge area, 3 bedrooms (a double bed and 2 spacious single beds), a 4th small room with a 90cm by 200 cm bed would be perfect for children or teens. A separate bathroom with shower is also available and I am currently installing a small kitchenet for tea and toast and your own fridge. The downstairs living room is cozy and always accessible. Cat or dog hair allergic people might have a difficult time in our house as those furry monsters access all corners of our existence! I am enjoying a simple life, spent mostly among my animals and in nature. When we are not pottering around the farm I love taking the dogs to the beach or the forests around us. I work remotely in humanitarian aid and have done so for the past 20 plus years. So, while constantly expanding on the space for animals and learning as much as I can about animal welfare, regenerative farming practices and land/soil rehabilitation I often have my head and heart engaged in natural and man made disasters around the world.
