"Small organic farm with sheep, pigs, chickens, and pets, producing wine and food."
Central Jutland
We are a family (Mom, Dad, and 3 children) residing on a small organic farm in Djursland, Denmark. Our family divides our time between the farm and our ship, an old wooden minesweeper from the Cold War.
A typical day on the farm begins with the essential tasks of feeding the animals, checking the fences, and collecting eggs. From there, the day’s project begins, which could include:
Maintaining the vineyard and overseeing wine production
Conducting repairs and upkeep on the buildings
Researching and launching new projects in the area
Organizing events aboard the ship
Sharing expertise in boat-building and related crafts
Managing the garden and processing vegetables
Undertaking various tasks in the workshop, including construction and repairs
Accommodation is provided aboard the ship, where guests will have access to their own cabin, as well as shared kitchen and living areas, a shower, and a toilet. Alternatively, accommodations on the farm are available in a private, modified fire truck (similar to a camper van), situated just 25 minutes by car from the ship.
Meals are prepared using organic, locally grown ingredients. All meals are vegan-friendly, offering a diverse selection of nutritious and delicious dishes. Snacks, fruit, coffee, and tea are available around the clock to ensure guests remain energized throughout the day.
The surrounding area offers a variety of outdoor activities, including kayaking, hiking, sport fishing, stand-up paddleboarding, kitesurfing, and cycling. The town of Ebeltoft is just 6 km away, while Aarhus, the closest city, is 45 minutes by car, offering access to both local charm and urban amenities.

We had wonderful 2 weeks with Christoffer and Sarah. It was very interesting getting to know the work on a ship and really nice to live on a little farm! We enjoyed times at the beach and the good food with the family.
Thank you for caring about us and good luck for all of your projects!
Many Greetings from family Assenmacher!

Hi!
We were at Christoffer and Sara's place with my wife and our 2 years old daughter, for one week this summer.
We really enjoyed our stay, beyond pour expectations : we did a lot of different and non repetitive activities (from feeding and taking care of the animals to paint an old sailboat deck, by way of cuting some wood), and took time to chill; the ambiance was quite peaceful, with a bunch of others woofers from different countries, ; we discovered ideas of news recipes and inspiration for our own projects in France, and had many good talks with every one.
Christoffer and Sara were very careful, attentive and patient with the woofers, looking after their stay to be as worthwhile as possible. They settled a good environment for the visitors, to make them feel confortable.
Hopefully, the children played a lot together, and our daughter discovered plenty of new games thanks to that, and she seemed to appreciate this week in her way too.
Thus, no hesitation to meet this nice family in their farm, and help them with their different and interesting projects :)

We had an incredibly beautiful and enriching human experience with Christoffer and Sarah. The farm is so lovely, in the middle of fields and very close to the sea. The work we did during our stay was very interesting and especially varied : taking care of the animals (every day), building or repairing fences, picking berries or potatoes, taking care of the vines, repainting the boat, etc.
But above all, Christoffer and Sarah are two extremely humane and authentic people, with hearts of gold. With them, you won’t just be working on a farm; you will truly share the daily life and experience of a lovely Danish family. A magical experience that my son and I will never forget!

Christoffer and Sara were wonderful hosts. I felt like a part of their family during my time with them on the farm. Working on the Svartloga was a treat and I got to learn so much about the Danish sailing lifestyle. The accommodations were perfect, I slept better in the firetruck than I have anywhere else in a long time! They took such good care of me and I really enjoyed doing everything I could to help out on this beautiful farm. Thank you so much!

It was a real pleasure to spend this week with Christophe, Sara and their lovely little family!
We learned a lot about the history of their boat and had the chance to take part in its renovation. It was also a great experience to care for the animals, tend to the vegetable garden, build an enclosure, and go foraging for "hyldeblomst" ;)
Thank you for these wonderful memories, the shared recipes, and this timeless getaway!
