I am icelandic woman, living in Denmark, runnig a nature park with small vegetable garden. At the moment I am cutting down old and broken trees and cleaning up the forest on this land. I am here to build a nature park.. Me and my son live here alongside with Billie, our little labrador. The day starts normally with me going and preparing the park, that can involve taking down old trees, cutting down bushes, and making the park look more beautiful. The truth is that I am a new beginner in growing vegetables. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sometimes we cook together, sometimes we cook leftovers, sometimes we just have snacks. Sometimes we eat alone and sometimes together. It depends on each and everyone. But everyone is always welcome by the table always :D There is always toast, oatmeal and other snacks available for breakfast and in-between meals. My hobbies are walking around the park, seeing movies (when I have time), cooking, working in the barn with all different kind og things, animals, fishing, fitness. Please note that there is silence after 22:00 so people who wake up early will not be disturbed.

We had a wonderful first experience volunteering! I’m very grateful to Solveig for welcoming our whole family—both the adults and the children had plenty to do and a lot of fun as well. Solveig is incredibly busy running several projects at once, so volunteering at the park is best suited for people who are proactive and able to take initiative. During our stay, we helped with cutting back and maintaining the forest and garden around the house, preparing the glamping tents for guests, and organising the household. Solveig is easygoing and supportive; while she values hard work, she is also very flexible with time and days off. Solveig has a gift for bringing people together, and we loved the many barbecues and outdoor meals we shared with other volunteers. Overall, the experience was fantastic. Although there are many places we still hope to visit, we would happily return to this farm any day!
