Small property with many dreams

Hey! We are a family of four; Emil, 33, Thora, 34, Edith, 4, and Solveig, 1 ½. We live just ouside of Svendborg surrounded small hills, fruit-orchards and forrest. And just a small bikeride to the city, the ocean and the ferries to the small islands in the South Fynen Archipelago . Emil is educated forester, but currently work with collecting water samples. Thora is educated gartner and has been teaching at a garden-school. Edith and Solveig are two happy children and loves being outdoor. We dream of being more selfsufficient and share our surplus to the local commynities. We bought the place June 2024. We are slowly renovating the house with eco-materials (clay, timber, lime ect.) and building up the place. We have a greenhouse 3x8 meter, a plant nusery with fruit trees and berry bushes and soon a chicken house. We have been WOOFing some times ourselves (New Zealand, Hungary, Norway, Denmark), and that gave us great times and inspiration, so we think we know a bit about how to create a good expirience for all. We have a cat that lives in the workshop, and soon some chickens. We also have a friend living in a tent at our field this summer. He is building a tiny house, while living here. We usually start the farm- work around 9. Since we are a new place, we dont have that many rutines. But the three things that needs daily attention durring summer is the green house, the chickens and the plant nersery. Every Thursday from 9-13 Thora is going to our neighbor-collective (The Big-Collective Myselium) to help out in the vegetable garden together with 12-15 people. Thats also where we havest most of our fresh organic vegetables. PROJECTS 2025: - Chicken housing - Fencing of forest and orchard - Planting of forest and orchard - Developing and maintaining the buildings, the nursery and the vegetable garden We have a big glamping-tent with matresses, firewood oven inside and plenty of room to all your stuff. In case of very bad weather or winter, we have a spare room inside the house. We are up for eating dinner together, but we also know that two small children can be a rather chaotic affair in the evening. We mainly eat vegetarian and of couse organic. Emil enjoy building, sailing and making bunfires. Thora loves gardening, dancing and hanging out in the nabour collective. You can take som nice walks or bicycle rides in the area. Svendborg is a small, but very attractive town next to the sea, with concerts, exhibitions and street parties. There are small beaches and you can take the ferries to the many islands.
