Welcome to Fridalund – an organic family farm on Hindsholm, near Kerteminde (Fyn).
We produce vegetables, pigs, sheep, broilers, layers, and Christmas ducks.
We also run a small farm shop and a summer café serving food made from our own produce and sourdough bread.
We’re looking for volunteers in May–June and again September–October to join our daily farm life — practical, hands-on work in market gardening, animal care, and small-scale poultry processing.
Accommodation:
You stay in a separate farmhouse with two private bedrooms, shared kitchen, and Wi-Fi. We respect privacy and quiet evenings — we work together during the day but evenings are your own.
Meals:
We eat lunch and have coffee together every day (10:00 & 13:00). Meals are made from farm products.
Tasks:
Vegetable production (sowing, weeding, harvesting), care of layers, slaughter and processing of broilers and ducks (evisceration & packaging).
What we offer:
Learning by doing in a supportive environment, free accommodation and meals, bicycles for exploring, and optional lifts to local towns or markets. After the intensive duck week in October, volunteers get a free rest week in our house.
We expect:
Positive attitude, curiosity, stamina, reliability, and respect for privacy. English is our main work language (I also speak German).
Approx. 5 hours of work per day, mainly mornings.
Non-smokers only. Couples or friends especially welcome.
